AI content disclosure
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Fren turns a topic you choose into a chaptered, narrated audio course. Almost everything you hear and read in the App is generated by artificial intelligence. We want to be plain about what that means, where the limits are, and what control you have.
What AI generates
When you enter a topic, large language models draft the course for you:
- Chapter outlines — the structure of the course, which you review and edit before anything is generated.
- Chapter scripts — the written narration for each chapter, shaped by the style, depth, and length you choose.
- Narration — a synthetic text-to-speech voice reads the scripts aloud. It is not a real person, and no human records the audio.
- Takeaways and quizzes — summaries and review questions drawn from the generated course.
Accuracy and limitations
AI-generated content can be wrong. It may state something confidently that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete, and it can occasionally invent details. Fren is built for casual learning and curiosity — treat what you hear as a starting point, not an authority, and verify anything important against primary sources.
Fren does not provide professional advice. Nothing in a course is a substitute for a qualified doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or other professional.
Sources and research
Some courses are generated with a deeper research pass that consults sources from the web and cites them. Citations point to where information came from, but we can’t guarantee the accuracy of third-party sources, and the model’s summary of a source may differ from the original. Always check the source itself when it matters.
Your control
You approve the chapter outline before a course is generated, so nothing is produced without your sign-off. You can edit, rename, reorder, or remove chapters first, and delete any course you create. Courses you choose to publish are public; you can make them private or delete them at any time.
Reporting and moderation
Courses shared publicly in Explore are user-directed AI content. If you come across a course that is objectionable, misleading, or otherwise violates our guidelines, you can report it or block its creator from inside the App. We review reports and remove content that breaks our rules. We also rely on you to generate courses responsibly — don’t use Fren to create hateful, deceptive, or illegal material.
